Job Title: Legal Compliance Manager

Industry: Government Contracting / Professional Services

Location (city, state): Fairfax, VA

Assignment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Pay: $40 – $45 / hour (depending on experience)

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00am–5:00pm | Fully Onsite

Addison Group is hiring on behalf of our client, a growing government contracting organization seeking a Legal Compliance Manager to support legal operations, federal compliance initiatives, and cross-functional operational processes within a fast-paced environment.

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive professional to support contracts administration, compliance oversight, and operational initiatives. This position will work closely with leadership, HR, Accounting, and Operations teams while helping maintain scalable compliance and documentation processes in a government contracting environment.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, handling sensitive information, and operating independently in a high-visibility role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, edit, redline, and support negotiations for business agreements including vendor contracts, subcontractor agreements, NDAs, and teaming agreements
  • Assist with legal documentation management, contract organization, and risk mitigation efforts
  • Support compliance initiatives related to federal contracting requirements and regulatory reporting
  • Help coordinate Facility Clearance (FCL) activities and cybersecurity compliance efforts, including CMMC-related initiatives
  • Monitor compliance deadlines, certifications, filings, and audit-related documentation
  • Partner with HR and Accounting teams on onboarding support, personnel compliance, and operational processes
  • Coordinate with outside legal counsel and assist with internal policy updates and process improvements
  • Support the development of scalable systems and operational procedures across departments

Qualifications:

  • 3–7+ years of experience within contracts administration, compliance, legal operations, or government contracting environments
  • Exposure to federal compliance frameworks such as FCL, CMMC, FAR/DFARS, ITAR, or related regulations strongly preferred
  • Experience reviewing, redlining, and negotiating contracts and business agreements
  • Proven ability to manage compliance documentation, deadlines, audits, and reporting requirements
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently within a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
