Mount Indie is hiring a Sr Technical GovCon Recruiter to help scale our recruiting operations supporting critical national security programs. As a Woman-Owned Small Business specializing in cleared recruiting, we partner with some of the biggest names in GovCon — supporting missions where the talent bar is high and the stakes are higher.

This is hands-on, phone-heavy, deadline-driven work. You'll be on the phone, in the ATS, and in front of hiring managers — often all in the same hour. You'll learn technical skill sets you've never worked with before and be expected to speak intelligently about them within weeks, not months.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Running strategic searches across every platform that matters — our ATS, ClearanceJobs, LinkedIn, and unique sources.
• Owning the full recruiting cycle — sourcing, calling, submitting, negotiating, and partnering with hiring managers.
• Leading recruiting responsibilities on key accounts.
• Engaging candidates by phone — finding them, calling them, and building relationships.
• Partnering directly with hiring managers and program managers.
• Owning your pipeline — organized and current status of every active candidate.
• Documenting everything in the ATS — accurate notes and timely updates.
• Communicating proactively — status updates and candidate summaries.
• Using AI tools to move faster while maintaining personal judgment.
• Bringing what you learn back to the team — contributing to the playbook.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of outbound technical recruiting experience in the government contracting, defense, or intelligence space.
• Experience recruiting for cleared roles in the GovCon, defense, or intelligence space.
• Real sourcing ability — experience sourcing beyond obvious channels.
• Strong communication skills — ability to tailor communication to different audiences.
• Fluency with technology and recruiting tools — comfortable operating ATS, LinkedIn, and AI-assisted tools.
• Comfortable being measured — understanding metrics as a tool for improvement.
• Proven ability to manage workload in a remote working environment.
• Lead and mentor more junior-level team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Agency recruiting experience supporting federal/govcon clients.
• Account Management experience — understanding how to add value to clients.
• Full-cycle recruiting experience, including offer negotiation and close.
• Experience working in a small-team or founder-led environment.
• Experience in VMS environments.
