Job Description

This role supports delivery drivers with day-to-day operations, including loading and unloading trucks, assisting with deliveries, and performing general warehouse duties. You will help ensure that materials and products move efficiently and safely from the warehouse to customers, contributing directly to reliable service and smooth logistics.

Responsibilities

• Assist drivers with daily delivery routes, including loading and unloading materials and products at customer locations.
• Support safe operation of a Type 3 vehicle by helping with navigation, route planning, and on-site delivery tasks as directed by the driver.
• Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely, ensuring products are handled with care and properly secured.
• Perform general warehouse duties such as staging orders, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean, orderly work area.
• Assist with packing, sorting, and preparing materials for shipment or delivery according to company procedures.
• Support inventory activities by helping count, track, and restock products as needed.
• Collaborate with warehouse and delivery team members to meet daily productivity goals and maintain smooth operations.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures while operating in the warehouse and around vehicles and material-handling equipment.

Essential Skills

• Experience performing general labor or warehouse duties such as loading, unloading, packing, and material handling.
• Ability to assist with safe loading and unloading of trucks, including handling heavy or bulky items as required.
• Comfort working around vehicles, including supporting the operation of a Type 3 vehicle under driver direction.
• Basic understanding of warehouse operations, including order staging, inventory support, and production-related tasks.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work cooperatively with drivers, warehouse staff, and other team members.
• Reliability and punctuality to meet a Monday–Friday schedule with a 7:00 AM start time and overtime as needed.
• Attention to safety procedures and willingness to follow company guidelines for equipment use and material handling.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment while maintaining accuracy and organization.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift experience is a plus and may be used for loading, unloading, and material handling.
• Experience in packing, inventory, or production environments is beneficial.
• Experience in warehouse operations or wholesale distribution is an advantage.
• Comfort interacting with contractors, suppliers, and coworkers in a service-oriented environment.
• Interest in developing skills in logistics, order fulfillment, inventory management, and material handling.

Work Environment

This position is based in a full-service warehouse and distribution facility in Honolulu, supporting plumbing, hydronics, fire protection, water treatment, pumps, water well, septic, sewer, and water works solutions. You work a Monday–Friday schedule with a 7:00 AM start time , with overtime available as needed based on business demands. The environment is hands-on and physically active, involving regular loading and unloading of trucks, material handling, and general warehouse tasks. You may work around forklifts and other material-handling equipment, following safety protocols at all times. The setting is collaborative and customer-focused, with frequent interaction with contractors, suppliers, and coworkers. Dress expectations align with a warehouse and delivery environment, prioritizing safety, practicality, and professionalism.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kahului, HI.

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $24.00/hr.
