Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical, troubleshooting-driven DevOps Engineer with strong, hands-on Microsoft Azure expertise to join our global engineering team in a full-time remote capacity. In this operationally critical infrastructure seat, you will focus heavily on diagnostic engineering, incident response, and performance stabilization across high-volume production cloud environments. Serving as a primary technical escalation point for multi-tier support tickets, outages, and silent alerts, you will actively maintain, upgrade, and configure scalable cloud architectures. This role demands a seasoned automation practitioner who thrives on identifying root causes, managing CI/CD deployment pipelines, and partnering cross-functionally within an Agile/Scrum framework to protect strict SLA/SLO baselines.

Key Responsibilities

• Azure Infrastructure Maintenance: Build, deploy, secure, and troubleshoot scalable cloud-native architectures utilizing the comprehensive Microsoft Azure enterprise product ecosystem.
• Infrastructure as Code Deployment: Formulate, refactor, and implement modular Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates using Terraform , ARM templates, or Bicep scripts.
• CI/CD Automation Engineering: Manage, monitor, and optimize automated software deployment pipelines crossing between GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and Bitbucket Pipelines .
• Incident Mitigation & Triaging: Monitor production systems actively, leading real-time responses to critical alerts, network degradations, application connectivity faults, and systemic cloud outages.
• Root Cause Analysis Ownership: Lead deep-dive investigative post-mortems, documenting systemic flaws, resolving tracking anomalies, and executing permanent corrective actions to ensure long-term cluster stability.
• Cloud Networking Administration: Map and troubleshoot advanced network pathways crossing Azure VNets, Network Security Groups (NSGs), Private Endpoints, peering adapters, and load balancers.
• Database & Directory Care: Assist in the administration, provisioning, and performance tuning of core SQL databases and multi-domain Active Directory environments.
• Observability Architecture Expansion: Calibrate metrics tracking profiles, log retention graphs, and dashboards leveraging Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Grafana .

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of verified professional history running IT operations, cloud systems management, software deployment automation, or quality infrastructure engineering.
• 3+ years of direct, hands-on technical architecture and execution experience operating natively within the Microsoft Azure cloud services stack.
• Demonstrated experience supporting high-volume live production environments governed by rigid SLA/SLO operational compliance metrics.
• Proven baseline proficiency managing source configurations with Git-based version control tools, primarily GitHub .
• Strong, practical capacity to compose automated maintenance and system configuration scripts written in PowerShell, Bash, or Python .
• Outstanding cross-functional collaboration and technical communication mechanics, with absolute fluency in verbal and written English.
• Location Context: 100% remote-first full-time operational framework tailored for qualified DevOps practitioners based permanently anywhere within India .
• On-Call Availability: Personal commitment to participate productively in scheduled on-call shifts, responding to critical off-hours production incident pages.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

• Possession of a formal Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) credential.
• Prior containerization and microservices orchestration experience deploying applications inside Docker or Kubernetes clusters.
• Familiarity integrating or supporting modern AI/ML enterprise cloud architectures, including Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, or Azure AI Search routing.
• Familiarity with declarative GitOps architectures or high-scale platform engineering designs.
