Position: Bilingual Marketing and Communications Coordinator

Conexión Américas is seeking a dynamic Marketing and Communications Coordinator proficient in bilingual (English-Spanish) communication with a wealth of experience in traditional and digital media. Conexión Américas is a Latino nonprofit organization based in Nashville, TN. Our mission is to build a welcoming community and create opportunities where Latino families can belong, contribute, and succeed.

Our organization was founded in 2002 to address some of the most pressing challenges created by recent demographic changes in Middle Tennessee as an increasing number of Latino families come to this region searching for a better quality of life. We focus on four areas of community impact:

POSITION DESCRIPTION
This full-time position reports to the Associate Director of Communications and Advocacy. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following key duties and responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities

Communications:
● Create digital content to promote Conexión Américas’ mission and programs. This includes social media and our website.
● Support the Associate Director of Communications and Advocacy with the maintenance of Conexión Américas’ storybank.
● Provide social media and digital content insights for grant and tracking purposes.
● Update the organizational media tracker and update the Conexión in Media webpage.
● Develop the design for Conexión Américas’ annual report.
● Maintain Conexión Américas’ shared photo folder.
● Order business cards, name tags, and other branded materials for staff.
● Create the monthly ‘Boletín’ Spanish newsletter.

● Help build and reinforce an organizational culture in which all staff and board members embrace their role as “brand ambassadors” and storytellers.

Marketing:
● Design marketing pieces, including digital and printed materials, for program promotions, brand awareness, and special events.
● Manage social media by creating and analyzing social media postings.
● Work with program coordinators to ensure the promotion of programs and events in social media and Boletín.
● Take photos of people, programs and events, as needed.
● Manage website content and updates. Lead the content management of programs and services on our websites.
● Support the Development team with communications and marketing needs for fundraising and special events.
● Execute promotional campaigns to drive attendance and participation in events, programs, and fundraising initiatives. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful event marketing.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, those listed above. As with every other position at Conexión Américas, every person in the organization will assist in any way necessary to respond to new demands and to ensure a cooperative environment.

All positions at Conexión Américas require occasional evening or weekend attendance at various community and fundraising events.

Qualifications

Qualifications (Education and Experience)
● Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field.
● Minimum of three (3) years of experience in marketing, graphic design, or communications.
● Proven track record of developing and implementing successful communications and marketing strategies.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences.
● Understanding of web development or motivation to learn and grow in these areas.
● Proficiency in social media management tools, content management systems, and analytics platforms.

● Experience in graphic design and the use of Canva.
● Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
● Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and design.
● Experience in nonprofit organizations or community-focused initiatives is a plus.
● Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.

Additional Information

Benefits

Annual Salary Range: $54,000–$56,000, based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.

● Holidays: 10 paid holidays for all full-time employees
● As applicable, some flexibility can take place within a regular Monday–Friday, 9:00
a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule, with occasional evenings or weekends as needed
● Ongoing training and development
● Hybrid workplace model with two flexible days working remotely from home and three days per week working in the office, subject to workload responsibilities and organizational needs
