Role Overview
Our client currently operates a  Java/Spring Boot‑based environment and is now transitioning core backend services to  Python . We are seeking a developer with strong Java experience who can  lead and support the migration toward Python frameworks such as  Django, FastAPI, and Flask .
This role is ideal for someone who has worked extensively in Java and is now proficient in Python, capable of building new services while modernizing existing ones.
What You Will Do

• Work on existing backend services built in  Java + Spring Boot
• Lead the transition and development of new services using  Python (Django / FastAPI / Flask)
• Build scalable REST APIs and microservices in both Java and Python during the migration phase
• Design and optimize database schemas using  PostgreSQL
• Implement and maintain  AWS CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments
• Develop and maintain  test automation frameworks for both Java and Python codebases
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps, QA, and product teams to ensure smooth migration
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance across both stacks
• Ensure best practices in security, cloud-native development, and code quality

Required Skills & Experience

• 7–10 years of backend development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with  Java + Spring Boot
• Solid experience with  Python and at least one major framework:
  • Django
  • FastAPI/Flask
• Strong knowledge of  SQL & PostgreSQL
• Experience with  AWS services and  CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with  test automation (PyTest, JUnit, Selenium, etc.)
• Experience building REST APIs and microservices
• Ability to work in an onsite, fast-paced environment

Salary: $130,000 - $150,000

The pay range provided is a good-faith estimate and represents the range the company reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Individual compensation may vary based on skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and business needs.
